Meet Malia…

Malia was diagnosed with a rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on June 5, 2017 – her 4th birthday.  For the past year, Malia has taught everyone around her the meaning of resilience. She has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, full body radiation, and a bone marrow transplant in order to battle this cancer into remission – and she’s done it all while maintaining a twinkle in her eye and an infectious laugh.

Now, one year later, the cancer has come back and Malia has started the journey to conquer it again. She will need at least three rounds of chemo and a second bone marrow transplant this fall, which means another 100 days away from home at the transplant center in Nashville, TN.

Malia has been showered with so much love during this journey from her devoted parents (Liz and Larry), her caring big sister (Sayla), and from so many friends, family, and complete strangers. Your thoughts, prayers, love, and financial support have helped carry Malia and her family.

Thank you for joining us in this fight!
