Do you have 10 minutes to give today?

It’s a simple thing, really, and only takes a few minutes.  Once you get the hang of it that is.

Tough As Nails is still on a mission to collect 1,000 cranes and we are just over halfway there. We will be ecstatic to put even the 539 Crane Craft Kits into the hospitals, but we’re still aiming for 1,o00! Because, why not?!

Here are some simple ways to take 10 minutes that will touch a child’s heart:

1- Take a study break with your child by watching a origami crane folding video and fold along. All you need is a 6×6 or 5×5 sheet of paper and the internet. A great site: https://www.wikihow.com/Fold-a-Paper-Crane

2- Grab a group of your favorite friends and host a Sip and Fold night. Get some good friends, great conversations, warm tea, and colorful paper and have a great time together!

3- Volunteer in your child’s classroom to teach them all how to fold cranes. Let them know that they are part of something bigger and you’ll be donating them for hospitalized children

4- Make it an activity for a playdate or birthday party

5- Crane folding competition… who can fold the most in 10 minutes?! Who can fold the largest crane? Who can fold the smallest? Who can fold with their eyes close??!

6-Ask your local library to designate a table for origami crane folding for a couple weeks set up with paper, directions, & a collection basket.

It really doesn’t take long,  but I will admit… once you get in the groove it’s a little addictive! By the time you fold 5 cranes, you’ll have it down pat. And if only 50 people send us 10 cranes each, we’ll be at our goal.

Do you have 10 minutes today to touch a child’s heart?
