Today is my 45th birthday so it only feels right to share one of my latest dreams with you.
Back in 2017 I felt lost. Without purpose. My girls were all in school now and as a Stay at home mama keeping an immaculate house began to feel superficial and hallow. That says a lot to someone whose love language is cleaning (Gary Chapman take note… this is the missing 6th language style!).
I begged and prayed- if this is really how I’m meant to serve the world and live my purpose I won’t complain. But is this truly what you want me to do for the rest of my life?! Don’t get me wrong, I loved being a wife, a home-maker, and a mom. It’s been my dream since I declared in first grade I was going to be a babysitter when I grew up. (I loved my daycare lady, Elenor & wanted to be exactly like her)
I just felt like there was more, but didn’t know what it was.
Then Tough As Nails fell into my heart with so much clarity and purpose it couldn’t be ignored or classified as anything but an answered prayer.
It began with a question. Then a dream. Then a challenge.
Today this dream continues to grow with new questions, visions and challenges. My latest dream is a Business Barn, complete with space for Tough As Nails to operate, a coffee shop, a wine bar, and a couple local home stores (because they’re my favorite stores to get lost in).
Do I have the property? Nope. Do I have the capital? Nope!
I have the vision and the desire and I know this is enough for right now.
I will continue to dream and I hope you are cultivating your own dreams as well because I truly believe dreams do come true!
